About gold fill:
Gold filled is an actual layer of solid gold pressure bonded to another metal, that is at least 1/20th the weight of the total item. Gold filled is not to be confused with gold plating as filled literally has 100% more gold than gold plating. It is very hard wearing and under normal wear the gold will not peel or flake, is much more valuable and tarnish resistant.
